HVAC FAQs

1

How often should I have my air conditioner serviced?

Twice a year is recommended by most professional AC companies—once in the spring and once in the fall. Regular tune-ups help improve efficiency, reduce breakdowns, and extend the life of your system.

2

Why is my AC running constantly during the summer?

During extreme Florida and Georgia heat, your system may run longer than normal. However, if it never seems to shut off, you could have dirty filters, low refrigerant, duct leaks, poor insulation, or an aging system that needs attention.

3

What temperature should I set my thermostat in summer?

For comfort and efficiency, most homeowners find 72–74°F works well when home and a few degrees higher when away. Smart thermostats can help automate these adjustments.

4

How often should I change my air filter?

Most filters should be checked monthly and replaced every 1–3 months. Homes with pets, allergies, or high dust levels may need more frequent changes.

5

What are signs my AC may need replacement instead of repair?

If your system is over 10–15 years old, requires frequent repairs, struggles to cool your home, or causes unusually high energy bills, replacement may be the more cost-effective option. Same or next day installation with most of our models is usually available.

6

Why is humidity so important for indoor comfort?

High humidity makes your home feel hotter and can encourage mold growth. A properly functioning HVAC system helps remove excess moisture, improving comfort and air quality.
