Heat Up Your Patio No Matter the Season!

With summer coming to an end, it can begin to feel as if all of your fun outdoors will soon be a thing of the past as well. When the kids are back in school and all of your summer garden veggies have been planted, you almost need an excuse to go outside during the fall and winter seasons. Here are a few ‘excuses’ you can add to your patio or backyard to have just one more reason to continue enjoying your landscape no matter what season it is!

  1. Fire Pit: There are so many different options when it comes to including some ‘warmth’ into your patio or backyard. One aesthetic and reasonably-priced idea is a cast stone fire pit—it’s attractive, appealing and you can find them as low as $185! If you are feeling slightly more adventurous pocket book-wise, consider investing in a propane fire pit or fire pit table to add that ‘wow’ factor to your landscape.

  1. Tiki torches: An oldie but goodie, the tiki torch will probably never go out of style. They can be used to outline your back patio, sidewalks or simply scattered around the back lawn for an instant burst of light once the sun goes down!

  1. Patio furniture: There’s nothing like enjoying a delicious, home-cooked meal outside on a cool autumn night! Make it hard for your family to resist a dinner outback with a patio table or even a couch complete with a small table. When the temperatures begin to drop, add some pillows and blankets for an extra-cozy experience.

  1. Hot tub: Even though we live in Florida, Tallahassee nights can still get chilly once winter rolls around. Woo your friends and family out back with a hot tub that will keep them feeling the warmth of summer no matter the outside temperature.

  1. Patio rooftop: Whether you want to shield your patio from the rainy season or the blistering sun, a patio rooftop is the one-stop-shop when it comes to nixing excuses as to why you can’t go out back right in the bud! Both seasonal and permanent canopies and rooftops are available depending on your own personal preference.

  1. Grill: If you don’t already have one, a backyard grill is the ultimate addition to any patio! What better way to heat things up no matter the season than with tasty, fresh-off-the-grill burgers or chicken wings?
